POL-MAK was established in 1986. At the outset, the plant was accommodated in facilities occupying a total area of just 50 sq metres and employed only five staff. The beginnings were very hard. The owners, however, did not give up, consistently striving to achieve the goal they had set for themselves, which was to become an industry leader.
As time passed, the Company grew. A new 140 m2 building was put in operation in 1993 and additional machines were purchased with a view to increasing production capacity to meet the growing demand of our Customers. New card patterns were elaborated every day as a result of ongoing search for new ideas.
July 1995 saw the entry into operation of a new production hall of 540 m2 which housed the first 4-colour Dominant printing machine for the B2 format. This marked a breakthrough in printing quality and speed and, as a result, made it possible to offer even more competitive products.
Another manufacturing hall of 1000 m2, offering possibilities for further development, was erected in 1997. At the time POL-MAK employed more than 40 staff members. The extra manufacturing area was provided with another 4-colour offset printing machine (Roland) for the B2 format.
In late 1997, the Company's product range was expanded by decorative bags and gift wrapping paper.
In 2000, POL-MAK was granted the ISO 9001 certificate confirming the Company’s excellent working organisation and quality.
Growing requirements of the market made the Company invest in cutting-edge technologies. The year 2005 saw the installation of a full-format Heidelberg Speedmaster CD-105+L printing machine and Ctp – SCREEN image-setter. Advanced machines opened up new possibilities which the Company used to the full.
On 17 April 2006, the Company officially opened a new manufacturing plant with a total area of 2400 m2, located in Batorowo. The modern building houses offices, warehouses and a production shop which displays the entire range of the Company’s products.
The year 2008 saw the launch of a new product type: napkins offered under the “Maki” and “Daisy” brands. The napkins represent the highest quality of workmanship and an extensive design range. Napkin production takes place in two of the most technologically advanced production lines.
In May 2009, the Company put into use a new high-bay warehouse for 4,500 pallet units. Large storage area helped to further improve logistics, which is necessary for ensuring fast and consistent product deliveries.
